Articles About Entertaiment
ENTERTAINMENT is an activity understood objectively, which includes communication between text and audience from an external stimulus, offers pleasure, requires an audience and occurs in a passive form. Bates and Ferri (2010) define entertainment as “an event that can be consumed, is understood as an experience, involves an internalised stimulus, has a clear form, is passive and provides an aesthetic effect”.
Entertainment means something affording pleasure or diversion; amusement: playing the daily crossword is entertainment for many people. It may also be a ceremony, celebration or religious festival; or even a political satire. Occasionally, some activities that are necessary skills for certain people, such as archery or fencing, can develop into global performances staged as sporting events and broadcast as entertainment.
